Expanded List of Cosmetic Services

Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is performed to remove excess skin and fatty pouches from the upper and lower eyelids. The procedure can correct the sagging and drooping of the eyelids and puffyness under they eyes as a result of aging. The fatty deposits are removed and the incisions are closed using tiny sutures. Since the laser seals blood vessels as it touches them, there is less bleeding, swelling and bruising than with conventional eyelid surgery. As a result, this procedure can also improve your vision. The process is an outpatient procedure performed in the office using local anethesia and taking 45 minutes to an hour.

BOTOX®

BOTOX® is a natural, purified protein which relaxes the overactive muscles that cause frown lines to form. BOTOX® is a quick and minimally invasive procedure containing a few tiny injections into the muscles that cause moderate to severe lines. Dr. McElroy will determine exactly where to administer the injections to achieve the best results. The procedure takes approximately 5-10 minutes and usually has no signs of discomfort after the injections are complete. BOTOX® injections are recommended for those between the ages of 18-65 and will last for up to 4 months.

Restylane®

Restylane is injected under the second layer of skin, or the dermis layer, adding additional fullness to upper lip and the nasal labial folds. Restylane is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. The procedure is performed in the office and takes about 20 minutes.

IPL™  Skin Treatments (Photorejuvenation)

Intense Pulsed Light, or IPLTM, technology is used to treat a variety of skin conditions such as benign skin conditions, facial skin imperfections, (sun-spots), birthmarks, unwanted hair, small veins and other blemishes. It is a non-ablative, in office treatment resulting in very little discomfort.

CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing

Laser skin resurfacing reduces wrinkles and facial scars by vaporizing skin cells on the outer layer of the skin. As a result, the skin becomes tighter causing wrinkles to become less apparent. Laser skin resurfacing is an outpatient procedure and may be done in combination with other cosmetic procedures. The duration of the procedure depends on if part or all of the face is being treated.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels remove dead cells on the top layer of skin stimulating the production of new cells. The procedure reduces wrinkles and restores a more youthful appearance. Unlike laser peels, chemical peels can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands and even the arms and legs. Exposure to the sun should be kept to a minimum as your skin will be susceptible to damage. The process takes ten minutes with no discomfort and is an outpatient procedure performed in the office.

Micro-Dermabrasion

Micro-Dermabrasion, also known as an Oscar Glow, removes dead and flaking skin cells stimulating the production of fresh skin cells and collagen softening rough or dull skin. The treatment can remove fine lines, stretch marks and acne scars and regardless of the skin's condition or color, most patients will notice an improvement in their skin's appearance. The procedure is done in the office and takes about 10 to 30 minutes allowing you to return to your normal schedule.
